Maren Rinker, DNP, APRN, CNP
Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Dr. Rinker (formerly Schiess) is a board certified nurse practitioner in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. Her approach to psychiatry is evidence-based, holistic, and collaborative.
Dr. Rinker has practiced in schools, residential facilities, community health centers, and multidisciplinary clinics, but she most enjoys private practice because it affords her the time and flexibility to truly get to know her patients. Dr. Rinker has experience treating a range of conditions, including mood and anxiety disorders, ADD/ADHD, developmental disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and severe and persistent mental illness.
Dr. Rinker earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Rinker began her career in psychiatry working with adolescents in Nashville, TN. She then moved to Chicago where she worked in private practice providing psychiatric care to clients of all ages. She was also the first medical provider to join the staff at Insight Psychological Centers, an eating disorders treatment center.
Since returning to MN, Dr. Rinker has practiced at Community University Health Care Center, The Emily Program, and a multidiscplinary mental health clinic. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Rinker is an adjunct instructor at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing.
Rachel Henry, RN
Rachel is a seasoned psychiatric nurse with hands-on experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of mental health conditions. She has worked in residential treatment, home health care, and outpatient medical and mental health clinics.
Rachel works closely with Dr. Rinker and assists in identifying and minimizing barriers to care by providing patient education and community resources as well as serving as a patient advocate.
Rachel is also the clinic administrator and first point of contact when calling our office. She is committed to providing a positive, patient-centered experience and is able to assist with appointment scheduling, medication questions and refills, and general office and billing inquiries.
